Impact Marcom, Europe's largest audio video systems integrator, has appointed technology PR agency Insight Marketing & Communications, part of the Bell Pottinger Group, to manage its public relations in the UK. Insight has been given an extensive campaign brief to boost awareness of Impacts' offering to both the corporate market plus highlight its bespoke solutions within the public sector including emergency services, health and higher education.
The need for businesses to drive increases in productivity, coupled with the pressure to demonstrate green credentials has seen a resurgence of interest by the media in the video conferencing market. Insight will look to capitalise upon this consciousness whilst also drawing on the wealth of innovative deployments and technologies developed by Impact.
The move follows the appointment of Julian Phillips as Impact's managing director. Phillips said "The world of Audio Video is changing, driven by the consumer experience of the YouTube generation. We want to make sure that companies are aware of how the convergence of video with the IT network can transform business performance." Philips added "Based on my experience with Insight, I know that they will achieve this."
Chris Warham, Insight's managing director said "Impact have such a great story to tell. They lead this market – managing three video conferences every minute for their clients" Warham added "Their deployments also offer great human interest stories, for example their voice distortion technology is helping to provide anonymity to witnesses for operation trident"
